DOUWE | 1. AUFLAGE | ReWool Circular Sailor Sweater 100 % Wolle

Here it is! The familiar Douwe skipper's sweater, made from our own developed 100% wool yarn. This yarn consists of 50% self-collected old sweaters, combined with 50% high-quality certified wool. This allows us to know exactly where this sweater has been from start to finish, and that is unique!

In addition, our product is not only recycled but also re-recyclable. Because it is a 100% wool product, we can reuse it two to three times. We are currently busy researching how we can utilize the too-short fibers, first as insulation material and later as compost. But... given the lifespan of our products, we still have plenty of time for that!

By adding new wool, we have developed a yarn that is not only sustainable but also possesses the exquisite quality you expect from Roosenstein Wolke.

We produce this yarn in-house in Portugal. This way, we send the old clothing back to Portugal once and receive the final product back. This minimizes the distance the product travels.

Our journey to make our products circular has been underway for over six years. With conscious choices for materials, haberdashery, and production locations, we have succeeded! We have created a First Edition in a limited run. But this First Edition is just the beginning. Our goal is to make the Circular Skipper's Sweater 100% Wool | Douwe and all our other products fully circular.
