WAAIE | Skipper Vest Windstopper 100% Wool

The Skipper's Vest with windstopper | Waaie is the vest version of the Wieger. Both products are made from our 100% wool SportLoden yarn and are lined with a 100% recycled PET bottle lining. This lining is completely windproof and breathable due to its technical membrane. This keeps the wind out, but allows excess heat and moisture from the wearer to escape. The Skipper's Vest with windstopper | Waaie combines the comfort of a skipper's sweater with the technical aspects of the lining. The vest is therefore best worn as a replacement for a jacket. Because the outer fabric is made of 100% wool, the vest will even keep you dry during a typical Dutch drizzle. The vest features two side pockets that close with a zipper.

Whether you're cycling, walking through the city, hiking in nature, or even skiing, the Waaie offers comfortable protection against the elements. The wool we use for the Waaie comes from the Austrian spinning mill Schoeller. These yarns are wonderfully soft and comfortable to wear, approaching the softness of merino wool, but combining that with high abrasion resistance.
