The Hessel skipper's vest is a classic with a new beginning. Made from our own circular 100% wool yarn, developed to be reused again and again.

Half of that yarn comes from old wool sweaters that we collect ourselves. The other half consists of high-quality certified wool. This way, we transform existing materials into something new, without compromising on comfort or quality.

Because the vest is made entirely of wool, it is not only made from recycled wool but is also fully recyclable again. We can reprocess the yarn two to three times. Even shorter fibers get a second life, first as insulation material and later perhaps as compost. Nothing is lost.

And there's another important advantage: because we only use natural wool, our products do not contribute to the microplastic problem for which the clothing industry is responsible for approximately 30%. This way, our clothing remains clean for you and for nature. Read more about it on this page!

We produce the yarn and knitting in-house in Portugal. This way, we keep the process transparent and the distance short. Old clothes go there once and come back as a new vest.
