Windstopper Sweater 100% Merino | Wisse

The Wisse is a windstopper made from 100% sustainably sourced Merino wool, lined with a windstopper lining made from 100% recycled PET bottles. The Wisse has a sporty yet classic look. This means you can wear the 100% merino windstopper sweater with casual shorts, but it also pairs perfectly with a shirt and chinos. This makes the Wisse suitable for both everyday use and sporting occasions such as hiking, golfing, cycling, or of course, on a boat.

The high-quality Merino yarn is spun by the Italian spinning mill Filivivi and is mulesing-free. This means that the sheep from which the Merino wool is obtained are kept in an animal-friendly way. In addition, the 100% merino windstopper sweater is lined with a windstopper made from 100% recycled PET bottles. We developed this lining with the Portuguese fabric supplier A. Sampaio. This lining has been specially selected for 5 properties:

The knit of the Wisse is 14 gauge, which means it is a very finely knitted sweater. A finely knitted sweater of 100% Merino wool makes the sweater very versatile to wear. We designed the windstopper so that the lining is only on the body and not on the arms. This was done to further increase wearing comfort. The sweater is wonderfully comfortable on cool summer evenings as an "outer layer," but also great during colder times of the year as a "mid-layer."

The Wisse features our sustainable Roosenstein Wolke trims. For example, the zipper we've incorporated is the YKK Natulon, and all labels are made from 100% recycled PET bottles. You can read more about sustainable production here!
